As Financial Director of Chiltern Radio plc, he was instrumental in the growth of a single radio station into one of the first networks seen in the UK, through both licence awards and acquisitions, and saw the company through to its eventual flotation on the London Stock Exchange.
Lin has over 30 years experience in the commercial broadcasting industry, initially as a regulator with the Independent Broadcasting Authority during the establishment of the Independent (Commercial) Radio network in the UK.
Starting his career in telesales, Ian progressed quickly to management and Commercial Director positions, and has excelled in building, training and leading large commercial divisions for major publishers including Associated Press, United Business Media, Emap and more recently Bauer Media.
